Superbowl Sunday Knitting

I ran across this today ----

ETA: link won't work - it's www.warmupamerica.org

Warm Up America is an organization that donates hand knit or crocheted items to groups in need - women's shelters, nursing homes, children's hospitals, ect. They solicit 7" x 9" squares from crafty folks like us and then create blankets out of them. It reminds me of the first thing I knitted when I was in 5th grade. Our teacher had us each knit a square and she make it into an afghan that was sent off to the Ursuline nuns in Alaska who ran a missionary school up there.
The idea is to use the time spent in front of the tv on Superbowl Sunday to knit up sqauares and send them off to Warm Up America who'll put them to good use.
